Hard Rock Adventures in London

If you’re looking for a fun place to eat, Hard Rock Café is the place to go!

I’m a Hard Rock kind of girl in more ways than one. I love the genre of music, and I also enjoy eating at Hard Rock Café when I visit different cities. Which works out, given that they play hard rock music in the restaurant. Who would’ve thought? I have visited Hard Rock Cafés in Las Vegas, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia and Baltimore, but none have been as fun to visit as the original Hard Rock Café in London.

The beauty of the Wellington Arch can only be truly appreciated in person.

The 43-year-old restaurant has a much more classic, subdued style than the others I have visited. Though Marilyn Manson was blasting in the background, I couldn’t help but think that it oozed with English charm, with a beautiful chandelier hanging from the ceiling and a neutral color scheme. Music memorabilia from famed British bands line the walls, including the very first guitar hung in a Hard Rock Café, which belonged to Eric Clapton. Though many come for the atmosphere, the food was also excellent, as was the service.

An added bonus of visiting Hard Rock Café in London is the surrounding area. Perhaps one of my all-time favorite sites that I have seen so far was not natural, but still breathtaking. Located in Hyde Park Corner, just a minute away from the restaurant, is Wellington Arch. Describing it in print doesn’t do it justice, as looking at the Wellington Arch even from afar is a bit overwhelming. The scale and beauty of the bronze sculpture that tops it, the largest in Europe, according to English Heritage, is nothing short of magnificent. If you’re going to Hard Rock Café, visiting it is a must. There are lots of activities to do in London, but it is also important to take time to relax and have a bite to eat.
