“Day Tripping” in England

Laura Vergara is a student at Nova Southeastern University and an ISA Featured Photo Blogger. She is studying abroad with ISA in London, England.

Traveling provides you the opportunity to learn and participate in distinct cultural experiences. One that I have encountered and truly enjoyed while visiting London is day tripping. It is a common and very well known English way of traveling for only a day to the seaside towns. I have had the wonderful opportunity of visit two of the many seaside towns located adjacent to London.

First Stop: Brighton

Seaside, Brighton, England, Vergara, Number 1

Brighton’s pier is filled with attractions, a stunning view and some great fish and chips!

While in Brighton, I also visited the Royal Pavilion. It is an enchanting and contrasting piece of architecture since design is with domes and minarets, which are usually found in Indian architecture.

Nothing better than great views and wistful live music.

Walking down the center of Brighton takes me back in time and its lovely cafes and ice cream shops make for a great dessert stop.

Second Stop: Bournemouth

Overcliff Dr, Bournemouth, England, Vergara, Number 5

Bournemouth has been one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. It has such enchanting views and gardens that made me pause at every step.

The view was not only of the seaside, but also the majestic seaside houses.  Most of the house and gardens had their own personality.

Last stop: Hyde Park

Hyde park, England, Vergara, Number 7

After some exiting day trips, I came back home -or at least my current summer home– and took some time to relax at Hyde Park with one of my new friends.

I hope everyone enjoys my pictures & adventure into their own day tripper experience!
