Produce Market – Mauro Frutta
Tucked away in one of the side streets near Piazza Della Signoria is a little produce market that I visit quite often! Crates of fruits and vegetables are displayed right outside its entrance and inside you’ll find other Italian products such as pasta, wine, olive oil, and dried fruit.
Panini Place – Panini Toscani
Behind the Duomo is a restaurant that creates a memorable experience for its visitors. The workers bring you around to the side counter and let you sample the meats and cheeses for free before choosing what to put in your panino! You can also order a glass of wine to go with your meal.
Café – Libreria Brac
Just a few streets away from Ponte alle Grazie is a lovely vegetarian/vegan cafe and bookshop. It’s perfect for grabbing a bite to eat during a study session! Book shelves fill the walls in the front and back rooms, and the open courtyard in the center is decorated with multicolored cloth streamers.
Tea House – La Via Del Tè
To venture off into the Oltrarno neighborhood near Ponte Santa Trinità is to find an absolutely beautiful tea house that gives “afternoon tea” a whole new meaning! There are plenty of spaces to enjoy your drink, such as the various tea rooms, a café that serves desserts, as well as an outdoor courtyard.
Gelateria – Gelateria Della Passera
If I could ever decide on a favorite gelateria in Florence, this might just be the winner! This place is located in the quaint little square of Piazza della Passera. In addition to the popular flavors, such as chocolate, strawberry, or coffee, there are some uncommon but delicious flavors in the mix, such as grapefruit, green tea with jasmine, and even rose!
The world awaits…discover it.
