- Little Oneroa Beach
Oneroa village is the heartbeat of Waiheke Island. Only a short walk from the ferry, Oneroa Street is filled with specialty shops and restaurants which offer cuisines from all over the world. All the shops and restaurants overlook the incredible view of Oneroa Beach. A short distance from the main drag is Little Oneroa, a quiet beach where you can enjoy the beautiful view with some fish n’ chips from the local market located on Little Oneroa Beach.
- Palm Beach
Palm beach, my favorite beach, is a quaint plot of sand set between two cliffs. On a clear day over the water you are able to outline nearby islands. The beach is usually vacant, as it is quite a distant from any town or restaurant. On the beach there are barbecues and kayaks available for anyone to make the best of their day on Palm Beach!
- Onetangi Beach
Onetangi Beach is the largest stretch of white sand on Waiheke. In the mornings, you will find many people walking their dogs on the beach. At night, many people wander to one of the two beachfront restaurants on Onetangi to enjoy a meal while watching the sun set.
- Rocky Bay
Rocky bay is another small, secluded, rocky beach off the beaten path. In Rocky Bay, you can sit on the park benches and watch all the sailboats venture in and out of the harbor. After taking in the view of Rocky Bay, you could go on a hike from the nearby sports park or visit one of three vineyards that surround the bay!
The world awaits…discover it.
